Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council’s Annual Charity Music in the Park event is being hailed as the best yet. A beautiful sunny day, amazing music from Con Brio, Howlin Blues, Justine and the Kingfisher Scout Band meant hundreds flocked to Huggett’s Lane Recreation Ground to enjoy a fantastic day out. Compere Paul Hayes of Sharp Radio did a magnificent job keeping the audience entertained. Other attractions included the ever popular Dog Show, the Beer Tent supplied by the British Queen, the Burger and Hot Dog Tent run by the 1st Willingdon Scout Group, Wealden’s Active Play, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Daniel’s Games Tent and Santa Pod Cars together with many charity stalls. Our thanks go to our sponsors of Peter Shoesmith, C S Printers, Kamsons Chemist, Willingdon Residents’ Association, Pure Dental Surgery Ltd and Wilmoths. Very grateful thanks also go to Owens Scaffolding for supplying and erecting the stage. The charities being supported this year are the Lower Willingdon Pre-School Playgroup and the Eastbourne Branch of the RNLI.
