Welcome to Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council Website

Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council is the first tier of local government closest to local residents, and consists of individual Councillors who put forward ideas and engage in constructive debate, respond to the needs of the community and ensure the delivery of cost-effective services for residents.

Willingdon and Jevington is said to be the real-life setting of George Orwell‘s novel Animal Farm. The Red Lion Inn is also a real place in the village.

Willingdon is divided into wards Upper Willingdon, Lower Willingdon & Jevington and Watermill. Willingdon has its own Cemetery which is nestled at the bottom of the South Downs, which was opened in the 1950’s.
